Alice Hewson, World #69 and England International Commits to Clemson University

Alice Hewson has formally agreed to join Clemson University, a Top 20 Public University in Soutch Carolina.  The England International and current world #69 will start her college career with the Clemson 'Tigers' and coach Horton in August 2015.

Rather than persuing a professional career immediatly after A-Levels, Alice decided she wanted to continue her education and dedicate four years, in a great climate, to develop her golf game.  Alice and her family felt that American University was the best option for her in terms of education, facilities and the opportunity to gain a quality degree whilst testing herself against the best golfers on the college circuit.  Interestingly, last year entire US Curtis Cup team were enrollege in college.

Having been heavily recruited by a large number of high profile Universities across the US, Alice was able to utilise the services of golf placement specialist Lorne Kelly from Prodream USA to narrow down and eventually select the best fit.  Alice went on record saying, 'I'd like to thank Lorne and his team for helping me through the whole recruiting process.  Selecting a university isn't just about recieving a scholarship, but about finding the best fit for me as an individual.  Lorne helped me identify a university with a great coach and great facilities, the right division and conference, but also a university that offers a great education.......I know I'm going to love Clemson'

We have been so impressed with the personal help and advice given by Lorne and the team at ProdreamUSA.  Our son had signed up previously to another company with limited success, however once he had signed with ProdreamUSA we were amazed how many coaches from quality universities made contact through Lorne’s wide network of contacts.  ProdreamUSA have been there all the way, from advising how best to respond to contacts, which colleges would be the most suitable, to helping us understand how the US academic system works and the NCAA rules and signing process. Speaking to a number of coaches has confirmed the high regard they have for Lorne and ProdreamUSA and his relationships with the coaches, which has obviously evolved over a long period, means they respect and value his approaches and recommendations for suitable players.  We would strongly recommend ProdreamUSA to other families trying to find their way through the complicated process of obtaining a golfing scholarship in the USA. We would certainly have struggled without them and with the help of Lorne and ProdreamUSA our son has secured a scholarship at the university of his dreams                                            Linda Gardner

Dear Lorne,

I thought I must write and tell you how pleased we are with the way Prodream has helped Sophie follow her dream of going to University in America.

From day one you have helped steer us through the very complicated entry process into the American college system, your advise to us and Sophie has been invaluable. As parents we feel that you got to know as much as possible about Sophie to enable the best possible fit within the University System.

As you know we had a lot of offers all over the US for places for her, we are really sure with your help picked we  the best place for her in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and she cannot now wait to go!

Thank you again for everything

Kind regards

David and Deborah Madden

I would like to thank Lorne and his Prodream team for all they have done for my daughter Krystle. They have constantly gone beyond the call of duty and continue to do so. Lorne secured a visit to three top universities in the USA. I think the biggest compliment I can pay Prodream and Lorne, came from one of the Coaches and it says it far better than I could. She said, "you are visiting three totally different schools but whatever your decision, you just cant make a mistake. The process thus far has been a sail through because of the team at Prodream it is certainly something I would not have liked to have had to tackle myself. Now on the homeward cruise it is so reassuring to know that Lorne and the team are there to guide us the rest of the way".

More and more big names are using collegiate golf as a springboard to greater success, but don't just take our word for it - check out what coaches, clients, parents, local convenors and touring professionals say....

"My experience of collegiate golf in the States gave me excellent grounding of what life would be like as a professional and the standard I'd have to reach to progress. It has undoubtedly been instrumental in shaping my career and helping me achieve the success I have enjoyed so far as a professional golfer."

Luke Donald, Ryder Cup Winner 2004

"The opportunities and development I gained at San Jose State University was unrivalled to anything I could have experienced in the UK. I would urge any talented young golfers, male or female, thinking about a US golf scholarship to get in touch with Lorne at prodream USA to find out if it's the right option for you."

Janice Moodie, Curtis and Solheim Cup Team Winner, LPGA Tour Star

"Finding a scholarship for a talented player can be filled with many pitfalls, concerns about the unknown and how to approach the subject as a whole. Lorne and his first class team, immediately take away all of these fears, using their experience and knowledge not just of the system and its workings, but their ongoing rapport with the coaches in the USA to offer an efficient and streamlined service designed to promote the individual in the best way possible. The emphasis is not just on finding a placing, but more importantly the right placing at the right University for their students. I am extremely grateful for all the support given by Lorne in finding James a scholarship to the USA, and I would certainly recommend prodreamUSA as the first point of call to anyone serious about finding the right scholarship for themselves".

Rob Walter, guardian of prodream client James Taverner

"After the success of the recent seminar you held with Surrey County Golf Union I thought I would let you know of the overwhelming feedback we have had from both players and parents. Your knowledge of the U.S college system is second to none. With the potential pitfalls involved it was very clear to all present the benefits of prodreamU.S.A’s experience in this field. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you to anyone seriously contemplating a US golf scholarship."

Hugh Marr, Director of Coaching, Surrey Golf Union

“As a former Ohio State Golf Scholarship Student I recommend prodreamUSA to any younster who has dreams of pursuing a college career in the US. Lorne’s knowledge about the game, the recruitment process and the various colleges and universities makes him the perfect source to find a good match for any player”.

“When I went to college in the US, these facilities where non existent and I clearly remember the unforgettable experience of the long hours on the phone to coaches and all the paperwork that was needed to be completed in order to go”. “The facilities that Lorne brings to players and coaches alike make it a lot easier for both parties involved to start the process of recruiting and ultimately end up in the correct golf programme”.

“I strongly recommend a college golf career to any player who has the ambition to further their golf career and I know for a fact that prodreamUSA's unique ‘golf specific’ service is one no other sports consultancy can match, simply because of the profile of their staff and their profound contacts in the golfing world, both sides of the Atlantic”.
