BRENDAN MCKENNA MANAGING DIRECTOR
Brendan joined ProDreamUSA as Managing Director in January 2018. A talented junior golfer as a member of Cowglen GC, he represented Glasgow county and was awarded a golf scholarship to Clayton State University in 2003, competing in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference, and majoring in Political Science.
On his return to Scotland, Brendan utilized his experience of US college life to start his career with one of the multi-sports scholarship consultancies on 2007, before moving into professional recruitment, working initially for a global firm then onto a leading independent Scottish recruitment consultancy.
He is hugely passionate about the game of golf and well connected within the industry, while still trying to compete as a plus-handicap golfer as often as he is permitted!
Our founder Lorne Kelly established FirstPointUSA in 2004, the first company dedicated to college golf placement services. One of the leading amateur golfers in Great Britain in the late 90s, Lorne was a golf scholarship recipient at Coastal Carolina University where he majored in Business Administration.
His experience at the highest level of college golf Stateside helped his continued progress in the elite amateur game, going on to win the Scottish Stroke Play Championship and Lytham Trophy. He was selected for the GB&I team which won the Eisenhower Trophy in 1998 and a year later, played in a star-studded Walker Cup team which defeated the USA at Nairn, alongside Paul Casey, Luke Donald and Graeme Storm.
He made his European Tour debut in 2000 and while injury prevented him from making a bigger impact on the professional game, he turned his attentions to a career in business, leading him to start ProDreamUSA in Glasgow. Now recognised as one of the world’s most successful college golf recruiters, Lorne now focuses his time on ensuring ProDreamUSA continues to benefit from his strong links with coaches across the USA.
