ProDreamUSA staff member Ellie Givens will be hoping to end her golfing year on a high as the Ladies European Tour season draws to a close in Spain at the Andalucia Costa Del Sol Open de Espana, which gets underway today.
The former University of Denver scholar goes into the final event in a rich vein of form, having finished 11th in the Saudi Ladies International before clinching her first LET top-10 berth of the season last week at the Saudi Ladies Team International, where she also helped her team to the runner-up place.
Those results have leapfrogged her up to an impressive 28th place in the Race to Costa Del Sol rankings and with a slice of the 600,000 euro prize fund up for grabs, a further rise up the standings beckons if her current good form continues. Having ended last season in 42nd place on the LET Order of Merit, 2020 will represent a significant jump for Ellie, despite the truncated nature of the schedule.
Ellie also enjoyed a top 15 finish in September at the Lacoste French Open, and a good week at the Aberden Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open, which took place at The Renaissance Club, saw her clinch a place at the Women's British Open at Royal Troon the following week.
As the #TeamProDream chief talent scout, Ellie combines her professional Tour career with her role at the company, supportiing some of our young clients with her own insights and experience of college life in the US, as well as identifying talented prospects at the top level of the amateur game.
Ellie tees off at 9.20am in the first round alongisde Scotland's Kylie Henry and Finland's Ursula Wikstrom.
