Following the success of the inagural ProDreamUSA UK Junior Open last October, we are delighted to be continuing our support of junior golf events by supporting the Pollok Junior Masters.
The event will take place at Pollok Golf Club in Glasgow from 23 - 24 June and will be open to boys and girls aged under 18 as of 1 January 2021. The Pollok Junior Masters will be a 54-hole stroke play event with a 36-hole cut for the leading players to contest the final round.
Prizes will be on offer for the leading boys and girls, as well as the overall winner, and the event will count for World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points.
Boys – 1st, 2nd, 3rd place - £300, £100, £50
Girls – 1st, 2nd, 3rd place - £300, £100, £50
Top U15 boy - £50 (if this player features in the top 3 overall then the prize would go to the next best placed U15 boy)
Top nett girl - £50 (as above)
The overall winner will be crowned the Pollok Junior Masters Champion, based on the lowest total score from the boys and girls category.
Entry to the tournament costs £50 per competitor, which will also include your lunch on both days and a practice round at Pollok GC. The handicap limit is 12 for girls and 6 for boys, and a ballot system will be in operation should the event be oversubscribed. The closing date for entries is Wednesday 2 June and players will be sent information and the draw thereafter.
The event is also being supported by the JR Group.
Pollok Golf Club is one of the finest parkland courses in Scotland, designed by Augusta architect Dr Alister MacKenzie, measuring 6,520 from the back tees and 5,628 from the ladies tees. Located on the south side of the city, it is easily accessible from the M8 and M77 motorways.
